‘We got to put value on what is valuable. The reason for the season is that Jesus Christ came down to give us our God-given worth back. What the world took away in sin and arrogance, he redeemed. We are precious and beloved to the Lord! Everything else was good but man He made in His image and He said was very good… This is good news of great joy for all people, because your worth has been honored and recognized by the Lord… hallelujah!

Glory to God in the highest.

May our lives be merry as we live with minds renewed in God’s truth, to value what is truly valuable: the name of Christ and his image in each other.’

Jesus is the Shepherd, the Good… to really allow the good shepherding love of God to consume and fill our lives… we must know that sheep are not herded from behind… cows, they are herded from behind, but not sheep. Sheep are led…

Jesus is not behind us, saying go, go get it, hurry up… but instead he’s in front of us, inviting us to come. Not in the comfort of what we already know, but in front of us, in the uncertainty of what we do not know yet, but trusting that as we follow he will lead us to new pastures, still waters, in his security, intimacy, communication and nurture. So won’t we trust and follow Him?… our hearts need to move first, to say, ‘Yes, Lord! I hear your call and my heart moves in joy to want and go and follow’…

put it together in your heart to know that God is good and that He is worthy of our trust and worthy of our devotion and worthy of our obedience no matter what… as we cling to what is good and hate what is evil… it first starts with our hearts really moving to the Lord…

Today is Pentacost Sunday!

I went to my first Sunday Jubilee service of 2011 today and was actually a little overwhelmed by all the familiar faces of fall semester AND Wellesley! Sooah Christine O. Ayo Richard H. and K. Choua Cindy Francis Anna Jeanne… where’s John Rebecca Christine P. NG and Jeanie? All of last semester would have been repeated haha :)
